Get ready for Spring - the top shoe trends for women in 2023

I think by now we’re all ready for the lighter evenings, warmer days and less layers! But it’s always the age old question when we begin to enter a new season - what should I put on my feet? Trends can be hard to follow especially with styles changing year after year, so I’ve put together this handy guide of what to keep your eye on this season and what would be perfect to pair it with!

Out with the boots, in with the trainers

It’s finally time to say goodbye to boot season and put them back in the wardrobe until the end of the year. As much as I love boots, I’m definitely more of a trainer person and spend most of my time in trainers regardless of the weather. So as you can probably imagine, when we start getting the new season trainers into stock, my eyes light up with excitement!

Are white trainers still in style for 2023?

Absolutely, whilst white trainers are always going to play a key part in your year round wardrobe, this year there's a better selection than ever before.

I think it’s fair to say most brands do a range of trainers now, so it can be difficult to know which to look out for, or maybe you want to try a new brand but you’re not sure where to even start. 

There are, of course the go to brands for trainers such as Skechers, Victoria and heritage brands such as Gola. Starting the new season with bright colours, breathable designs and lightweight styles perfect for the warmer weather is always exciting. Easy to pair with skirts, dresses or trousers, they’re the perfect accompaniment for your summer wardrobe. 

Then there are the brands you may not think of for trainers or may associate more with other styles. For example Rieker may not normally be your go to for trainers, but they’re certainly worth looking at this year! What are heritage trainers?

Getting beach ready!

We all know that once the warmer weather comes in, the beach starts calling! Whether it means going abroad or taking in the sights of one of our beautiful UK beaches (something we have a lot of here in North Wales!), we know a lot of you will be getting your wardrobes ready - and of course, your all important footwear.

What sandals are in style for 2023?

Sandals are of course an obvious choice to pair with those flowing summer dresses and they’re also perfect to slip on and off if you want to go for a paddle or feel the sand between your toes! Birkenstock is always a solid customer favourite and for good reason.

Once again we have a fantastic selection of the brands that we all know and love for our summer sandal fix. Fitflop are back this year with some gorgeous, brightly coloured and sparkling styles which are easy to take from day to night, if you have a jam packed day of holiday activities.
